The 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX)
- Link: Personal productivity
4DX, which stands for The 4 Disciplines of Execution, is a popular business and personal productivity framework designed to help teams and individuals achieve their most important goals despite the daily distractions of routine work. Popularized by the book of the same name, the methodology is built on four core rules:
-
Focus on the Wildly Important by concentrating on just one or two breakthrough goals rather than trying to fix everything at once.
-
Act on Lead Measures by tracking proactive, predictive actions that drive future success instead of just looking at past results.
-
Keep a Compelling Scoreboard to visually track progress in real-time.
-
Create a Cadence of Accountability through regular, focused meetings to review progress and commit to next steps.
